Provident Financial Services Inc said Friday its Q2 diluted earnings amounted to $0.38 per share, up from $0.34 per share a year ago. The result beat a consensus of analysts’ expectations as polled by Capital IQ of $0.36 per share. The company also reported Q2 revenue as a combination of net interest income combined with non-interest income of $83.9 million, up from $77.7 million a year ago. The revenue result also beat analysts’ expectations of $81.2 million.
In addition, the company said in a press release it was raising its quarterly cash dividend 5.3% to $0.20 per common share payable on Aug. 31 to stockholders of record as of the close of business on Aug. 15.
